The movie "Love Freed" interweaves the rehearsal of "love" between Seung Hye and Min Soo (played by Choi Min Soo) with the protagonist Seung Hye (played by Park Young Sun) participating in a touring small troupe play and a rehearsal for the National Theater's performance "I Love Hiroshima"
After the tour, the two protagonists head to Seoul together. As rehearsals for the next performance began, the cohabitation of the two also unfolded. Like a play, the two began to gradually invade each other's lives. Seung Hye intervenes in Min Soo's daily life as if directing Min Soo's performance; Min Soo is trying to practice a different way of life. During the rehearsal days, the relationship between the two became more and more complicated.
However, when the day came when the rehearsals were over, the two eventually broke up.
"Freedom of Love" deeply demonstrates the complex relationship between love and reality through the interweaving of stage performance and real life. Love on stage may be for plot and performance, but love in real life needs to face more challenges and tests. The emotions produced by the two protagonists during the rehearsal may be real, or they may just be part of the performance. However, when the rehearsal is over and real life strikes again, they finally face their own reality and choices.
