"Cruel Summer" is an American TV series released in 2021, directed by director Max Winkler . The play tells about a series of bizarre events in a small Texas town and the complicated relationship between the two heroines. In the play, we met two very different heroines: Kate and Jeanette. Kate is a kidnap victim and Jeanette is a sweet but socially awkward girl. However, as the story progresses, we gradually discover that Jeanette has gradually become not only the most popular person in the town, but at one point the most despised person in America. The fate of the two heroines seems confusing, but there are countless mysteries waiting to be solved. This thriller is described by alternating the perspectives of Kate and Jeanette in each episode The plot makes the audience feel as if they are in a fog full of mysteries.
