在没有爱情只有战争的星球上，为了学习人类爱的表达，派出使者前往地球，这个使者到达地球之后，化作类似萤火虫一样的生命体，飞入彼得汉森养殖场女主人身上。此后不久，养殖场附近学校新来了一名代课老师，这名老师无所不能，自此展开了外星生命体学习人类情感的故事。
