在返乡旅途中，人和象之间所存在的突发状况接连不断，在旅途的过程中，人和象也见证了许多的美丽风景。在影片内导演用幽默的风格让主角来对抗中年危机，将泰国乡下的荒凉风景，变成了一首洋溢着光芒的自我蜕变之歌。
这部电影的题材很好，故事性很强，但是隐喻性又不够强烈，因此显得比较普通。作为一部剧情影片，这部影片也存在着许多的不足之处。
