Hell Awakens is an action thriller directed by Lam Ling Tung starring Jean-Claude Van Damme, Lawrence Taylor and Lloyd Battista et al. The film was released in Romania on June 14, 2003

The theme of the film revolves around a police officer named Kyle. He is known as the "World Soldier" because he has participated in many wars, so he has strong combat skills and combat experience. However, when his wife is murdered, he is so devastated that he has to imprison himself in order to find the killer. However, life in prison turned out to be far more terrifying than he expected.

Kyle is sentenced to life in a deeply corrupt prison called "Korawawi". There, for his own benefit, the prison warden forces the prisoners to engage in a life-and-death fight, causing them to fight each other and even kill each other. The inmates in the prison have become extremely brutal, making this place extremely scary.

Due to the hatred of the murderer and all kinds of repression, Kyle began to lose himself, and even joined the prisoners' organization in the prison to fight duels. But with the help of his black brother in the same room, he gradually discovered the depraved ideas he had once despised. He began to redeem himself for his true belief, and awakened many prisoners who had encountered the same situation as him. They joined forces to respond to Kyle, but this move was brutally suppressed by the prison senior management.

During a prison riot, Kyle managed to escape from the dark cage of the prison with the help of his black brother in the same room . In the end, he ran to the free sky with his lofty ideals.
