"Flags of Our Fathers" is a war film. The film is based on the bestselling book of the same name by James Bradley and Ron Powers. The film is directed by Clint Eastwood, and the production company is the American DreamWorks Film Distribution Company. It was released on October 20, 2006. The film tells the story of the Battle of Iwo Jima in February 1945. The American army suffered heavy casualties. In order to bring hope to the soldiers, the Fifth Division received an order to plant the flag. Six soldiers rushed to Sulibanqi Peak, the commanding height of Iwo Jima, and planted an American flag on it. A war reporter took pictures of this scene and sent it back to China. The photos were sent to New York, which boosted the morale of the soldiers. Be a hero. Later, three of them died in the flames of war, and the other three were transferred back to the United States and gave speeches in various venues, but they never considered themselves heroes, they just wanted their brothers to be with them.
