"The Nightmare" is a Hong Kong horror film directed by Zheng Weiwen, starring Huang Qiusheng, Yin Tianzhao, Zhang Wenci, Wu Tingye and others. The story tells that Luoye suffered a huge disaster because of a dream sold by a sorcerer Shifang. His family property disappeared and his wife was killed by him. He was so distraught that he finally chose to commit suicide. And his younger brother Luo Wen discovered Shifang's conspiracy, and determined to avenge his relatives

Luo Ye is a wealthy businessman. He is filial and loves his wife Yongqin deeply, but Yongqin is weak and sick. Unable to meet Luoye's needs. Therefore, Luo Ye can only seek satisfaction in dreams. By chance, Luoye met the warlock Shifang. Shifang is willing to sell him a Qimeng for 100,000 yuan. After Luoye tasted the sweetness, he decided to buy this dream. Since then, Luo Ye has been immersed in dreams every night. In order to please the beautiful woman in his dreams, he inadvertently expressed his willingness to exchange the love in his heart. However, the dream suddenly turned into a nightmare! Luo Ye asked Shifang to take back the dream, but Shifang took the opportunity to raise a sky-high price. In the end, he uncovered the truth of Shifang's conspiracy and got the help of Shifang's wife. He reversed the nightmare back to Shifang, treated him in the same way as he did, and finally avenged his relatives.
