The background of the story is set in the period when the six princes of the court colluded with Tubo and rebelled. Longbei Jiedu envoy Zhang Lei intercepted a secret letter from the Sixth Prince, intending to communicate with foreign aid, but was moved by the peaceful and friendly atmosphere in the troupe. However, the patience of the Sixth Prince and another assassin, Yingxue, has reached its limit.

Yingxue and Yingxia are orphans adopted by the sixth prince, and they have both practiced excellent martial arts. Yingxia is good at fire skills and is known as the "fire cloud evil god", while Yingxue is good at using flying claws and archery. Yingxue always thinks that Yingxia competes with her for favor, so she often speaks sarcasticly to Yingxia.

The sixth prince has long wanted to seize the throne of the imperial court, and even colluded with Tubo in an attempt to force the emperor to abdicate.
