兰花之舞

Dance of the Orchid is a thought-provoking film about a young woman named Diya who trains hard to become a traditional Nepalese dancer but is forced into an arranged marriage at the age of 22. In the days leading up to the wedding, she realizes that she has no feelings for her fiancé. At the same time, her deep friendship with her girlfriend Kieran also gradually warmed up, and the two began a relationship that completely violated local customs and morals. They decide to live together and thus find themselves in a dangerous situation

By showing Dia's life experience, the film explores the conflict between traditional culture and personal freedom. As a woman eager to pursue her dream of dancing, Diya faced enormous pressure and restrictions in traditional Nepalese society. She was forced into an arranged marriage which meant nothing to her and had no emotional basis, but which was dictated by local customs.

However, in getting along with his girlfriend Kieran, Dia gradually discovered that she had special feelings for her. The friendship between them gradually evolved into a deeper relationship. This kind of feeling is taboo and bound by social morality, but Dia chose to bravely face her true inner feelings, let go of the shackles of tradition, and bravely pursue her own happiness.
