廉政公署经过多年的调查，对理达贸易集团负责人陈超群和海关的官员张嘉玲进行起诉，因为钟嘉玲常年受贿帮助他们非法销售。在开庭前夕，身为警察线人的许植尧却临阵逃走了，没有出庭，最后这个案件成为了无头案。因此法庭给检察官一个星期的时间，为了案件能够顺利的审核下去，警察们劝退出动。负责这个案件的队长陈敬慈全力寻找走私的证据，江雪儿去澳洲负责寻找许植尧。陈敬慈做了一份假的证据，让钟嘉玲由嫌疑人变成了证人，让案件没被取消。他们在调查过程中发现许植尧还有一个双重身份，许植尧也有可能是罪犯，因为江雪儿发现有人一直在澳洲暗中保护他。但是即使理清一个谜团后，还有下一个谜团等待他们弄清楚，其中背后的阴谋更是远远超过他们的想象
