漫长的一天

"Long Day" is a drama film starring Korean actors Kim Sung-je and Kim Dong-wan, directed by Cho Sung-Kyu, and will be released in South Korea in 2021. The movie tells that on a certain day, due to the disruption of a certain memory point, a series of dreamlike encounters and partings occurred, and four short stories were connected in series.

The first section of the story unfolds on a rainy morning. The male protagonist reunites with the female protagonist in a certain part of his memory. They used to be a part of each other's lives, but the coldness and miss of reality separated them. During this long day, they met again with completely different identities and states, and re-discovered each other's feelings.

The second short story focuses on a coffee shop. Here, two strangers meet over a special cup of coffee and have an unusual resonance. However, as time went by, they drifted away and went on with their own lives. This encounter, although brief, brought them expectations for unknown possibilities.

The third story is about a couple who used to have a happy family, but now their relationship is indifferent. During this long day, they try to reconnect and reminisce about the sweet times they once had. However, time will not turn back, and they must face the beauty that has disappeared in reality.

The last little story happened at dusk. A young woman meets a mysterious man and they spend a night of magic together. Although they didn't know each other's identity and background, they found spiritual sustenance in this short encounter.

"A Long Day" connects four independent stories to form a warm and touching picture, showing the intricate intertwining of emotions and fate in life. Through four different groups of characters, this film conveys to the audience the vagaries of time and memories, as well as the preciousness of instant encounters and partings. During this long day, every story brings us deep thinking about life and love.
