"Your Mother, Too" is a drama film directed by Alfonso Cuaron, released in 2001. The film stars Gael García Bernal, Maria Yala, Diego Luna and others. The story takes place in Mexico City, and tells the story of two best friends with different backgrounds, Julio and Tainoko, and a beautiful young woman, Luisa, on a journey to find the "Gate of Heaven"
Julio and Deno are two young men from a wealthy Mexican family. Their girlfriends travel abroad with them, while they stay behind for a long, boring summer vacation feeling overwhelmed. At a grand banquet held by Deno's house, the two met Lusa, the Spanish wife of Deno's cousin. They sell Lusa a trip to the fabled "Paradise's Gate" beach. After a moment of parting, Lusa, heartbroken to learn that her husband cheated on her, decides to call De Noo and ask to join her on a beach trip.
The three set off immediately. On the way, Lusha had a conversation with the two young boys, and they talked with Deno respectively. Had a relationship with Julio. This sparked a breakdown in the friendship between Deno and Julio. Anger and disappointment fill their hearts when they discover their girlfriends are having an affair with each other. Nevertheless, they still reached the "Gate of Heaven" together. After this summer, some memories of youth remain on that beach forever...
