雪文曦因为家庭贫寒，通过抄书代写来赚取零钱，但是却阴差阳错地遇见了云国的刺史儿子风承骏，风承骏赏识雪文曦的才华，通过暗中的运作，使得雪文曦顺利通过了考试，并进入只有男子才能够进修的云上学堂，雪文曦得知以后，为了隐藏自己的女子身份，每天都如履薄冰，维持自己的形象，加上风承骏的帮助，雪文曦得以在学堂里安心修学，聪明善良的雪文曦，使得雨乐暄找回尊严，让雷泽信也燃起了对生活的的希望，四个人在云上学堂组成“云上四杰”，在不断克服困难的过程中相互鼓励，为了实现心中的理想不断努力。
"Pretty Scholar" tells the story of Xue Wenxi, a girl from a poor family, who accidentally enters a cloud where only men can study.
