"Mystery in the Walls" is a film set in a nondescript residential area. In this depressive and lonely community, there is little communication between people, and life seems fragile and powerless. The film tells the story of Uchida Harukin, a high school student who failed the exam. He studies textbooks alone in a small room every day, and at the same time he cannot restrain his restless desire. Chunqin secretly flipped through pornographic magazines, peeped at her sister, and even peeped at the men and women in the residential building opposite with a telescope. On the opposite side, Xiaogu is a housewife. Her marriage with her husband is in trouble and her life is on the verge of collapse

By chance, Xiaogu reunited with his student lover. This encounter rekindled her enthusiasm for life, love and ideals. However, with the passage of time, the lovers who were running for peace have now become businessmen who only value immediate interests. Xiaogu's love once again fell into the dilemma of having nowhere to put it.

The film "Secrets in the Wall" shows the loneliness and desire of the protagonist Chunqin, as well as Xiaogu's persistence in love and dreams, showing the modern Loneliness and struggle pervasive in society. In this indifferent society, people yearn for love and understanding, but they cannot get rid of their inner desires and confusion. The film reflects society's indifference and neglect of individuals, as well as the complexity and contradictions in human nature.
