"Five Lucky Stars" is an action comedy film produced, directed and written by Sammo Hung, starring Sammo Hung, Yaohan Wu, Xianglin Qin, Suifan Feng , Cen Jianxun, Zhong Chuhong, Jackie Chan, Yuen Biao and Lin Zhengying, etc. The film was released in Hong Kong, China on July 7, 1983. The film tells the story of five inmates who have never met before, become good friends in prison and decide to start a new life. After being released from prison, the five people, Teapot, Dead Air Throat, Curly Hair, Vaseline and Lu Qi, jointly opened a cleaning company to provide cleaning services for companies and families. However, an accident involved them in gang disputes. The gangsters were discovered by the police in the process of trading counterfeit banknotes. In order to avoid pursuit, they hid the electronic counterfeit banknotes in the cleaning car of the Five Lucky Stars. As a result, the five lucky stars became the object of competition between the police and the gang. In the predicament, the five lucky stars were involved in a series of adventures and misunderstandings. The police suspect they are in collusion with the gang, who want to get rid of them to get back the digital counterfeit banknotes. In order to solve the dilemma, they enlisted the help of undercover detective Rhino Pi and finally succeeded in turning the situation around.
