"Hope and Resistance" was released in Germany in February 2005, directed by Mark Rothman, starring: Julia Yates, France Bian Henrich, Gerald Alexander Hyde. This film mainly tells the story of Sophie Schuler and her younger brother Hans who resisted the dictatorship of the German Nazis during World War II and were arrested by the German side and died heroically.

In 1943, Germany launched a general attack on Stalingrad and suffered a serious failure in the spring of the same year. When the war was still going on, Sophie Küller, a member of the "White Rose" underground organization born in Munich, and his younger brother Hans, in order to resist the evil deeds of the German Nazi Party and to alert university students to their resistance to the war. The siblings organized anti-Nazi campaigns that printed leaflets. Unfortunately, they were arrested by the German side. In order to be able to get rid of the charges, the siblings refused to admit to distributing leaflets in prison, but Germany had no choice but to grasp the anti-Nazi clues of the siblings. The crime was taken on him, and Germany, fearing public resistance, held a secret court and sentenced the siblings to death on trumped-up charges. During the trial, the siblings showed justice and uncompromising heroism. When they were about to be hanged, Sophie yelled, "Today you hang us, tomorrow it's your turn to lose your head."
