妖幻三重奏

"Fantasy Trio" is a novel co-written by Aoshu Mei, Yonezawa Yuen and Kiyoshi Hikawa, and then adapted into manga and animation. The story takes place in a fictional modern Japanese city "Takami City", and the protagonist is a high school student named "Natsume Takashi", who can see youkai and is involved in various youkai-related incidents

Natsume Takashi's grandmother left behind a "Book of Friends", which recorded the names of many monsters. It represents a contract. If the name is copied by Natsume, the contract between monsters and humans can be dissolved and the monsters can be free. Taking this as an opportunity, Natsume Takashi began to help the monsters break the contract, and established a deep friendship with all kinds of monsters.

The main conflict of the story comes from the contradiction between the people around Natsume Takashi and the monsters, as well as the conflicts of other people who pursue the book of friends attack. Takashi Natsume must keep himself and the Yokai safe and resolve these conflicts, all while exploring the mysterious forces behind the Book of Friends and his own past.

The whole story is full of warm and touching emotions, as well as full of interest and exploration of traditional Japanese monster culture. At the same time, the story also expresses thoughts and calls for the importance of harmonious coexistence and tolerance.
