《影子爱人》是一部比较经典的爱情电影，主要讲述在繁华都市中的男女之间的爱情纠葛，他们因为爱情而走到一起，却又因为爱情而感到迷茫，爱情与事业、生活、金钱的碰撞考验着每一对情侣，让他们在其中面临着选择，既有爱情甜蜜的火花，也有因此而产生的嫉妒与猜忌，最终分分合合，演绎了不一样的人生历程。
张柏芝在其中一人分饰两个角色，和韩国明星权相佑在片中上演了一段浪漫之旅。逼问影片分为三条线索而展开的，花的灿烂主要讲述张柏芝和权相佑这对情侣的爱情；雪的冰冷描述的是井柏然与张韶涵这对二战期间情侣的爱情故事；而爱的两难则叙述的是关于丁春诚和景甜在一起的分分合合，三条线索看似毫无关联，实际上有着千丝万缕的联系，甚至决定着另外一对情侣的爱情结果。

Cecilia Cheung plays two roles in one of them, and has a romantic journey with Korean star Kwon Sang-woo in the film. The interrogative film is divided into three clues. The Brilliant Flower mainly tells the love between Cecilia Cheung and Kwon Sang-woo; the Cold Snow tells the love story of Jing Boran and Angela Chang, a couple during World War II; Regarding Ding Chuncheng and Jing Tian's separation and reunion, the three clues seem to be unrelated, but in fact they are inextricably linked, and even determine the outcome of another couple's love.
