电影《又一年》讲述了生活在伦敦的中年夫妻Tom（吉姆·布劳德本特 Jim Broadbent 饰）和Gerri（鲁斯·西恩 Ruth Sheen 饰），以及他们的单身同事Mary（莱丝利·曼维尔 Lesley Manville 饰）之间的故事
Tom是一位工程师，而Gerri则是一名心理咨询师。他们过着平凡而温馨的生活。而Mary是Gerri的同事，一个孤独的单身女性。春天的某一天，Gerri邀请Mary到家里吃饭，Mary向他们透露自己正在存钱买一辆汽车。晚上，Mary喝醉了，留在Gerri家里过了一夜，第二天早晨，她与Tom和Gerri的儿子Joe（奥利弗·莫尔特曼 Oliver Maltman 饰）相遇。

In the evening, Mary got drunk and stayed at Gerri's house overnight. The next morning, she met Tom and Gerri's son Joe (Oliver Maltman).
With the advent of summer, Mary finally bought her favorite second-hand car. She came to Gerri's house again for a friend gathering, and met Tom's old friend Ken (Peter Wight) again. However, Mary, who is also lonely, only feels panic about Ken's love.
