Small Town Suspicious Season 1 is a story set in a quiet Dorset community. The plot begins with the police arriving in this supposedly peaceful neighborhood to investigate the tragic and mysterious death of an 11-year-old boy, Danny. However, this is only the beginning of the plot, and a series of shocking events ensues, including the trial of the murderer, the reopening of the old case, and the case that happened again in the small town three years later
The protagonist of the story is Inspector Alec Hardy, played by David Tennant. Due to the investigation error in the previous case, Alec's reputation was damaged, and he suffered from mental and physical torture, so he came to the seaside town of Guangjiao. Meanwhile, Detective Allie Miller (Olivia Colman) has just returned from vacation only to find that Hardy has taken her rightful job. Ellie is forced to cooperate with Hardy as she investigates Danny's death.
