"Death of Love" is a feature film written and directed by Oshima Nagisa, starring Fuji Tatsuya, Yoshiyuki Kazuko, and Tamura Takahiro. The film was released in France on September 6, 1978

The film tells the story of Gisaburo, a country coachman, who was murdered in the form of a ghost after his wife Ashi and his lover Toyoji conspired to kill him. The story of the emergence of murderers in fear and ultimately punished by the law. Yisaburo's wife, Ashi, is a hardworking and kind-hearted woman, but Toyoji, who is idle in the village, launched an aggressive offensive against her. When Gisaburo was not at home, Ashi couldn't resist Fengji's young and strong temptation, and the two began to meet frequently in secret. However, Yi Saburo became the thorn in the heart of the two, and they could not bear all this. On a snowstorm night, Ashi got Yisaburo drunk and strangled him to death, and then threw the body into a dry well. A year later in the autumn, the body was never found, and Toyoji started dumping fallen leaves into the dry well every day out of guilt. Three years later, rumors in the village began to mention the appearance of Yisanlang's ghost, and Ashi also began to be entangled by Yisanlang's ghost. Although the ghost did not harm Ah Shi, she could not bear the pressure in her heart. People in the village began to suspect the cause of Yisaburo's death. In order to dispel the suspicion, Toyoji killed again. However, when Toyoji and Ashi ventured into the dry well to transfer Yisaburo's remains, they unexpectedly encountered Yisaburo's ghost.
