"Love Before Dawn" is a romance film directed by Richard Linklater. The film tells the emotional story of an unexpected encounter between American youth Jesse and French schoolgirl Selina. Jesse originally wanted to have a happy trip, but he was short of money, so he had to get off the car halfway in Vienna, and was ready to return to the United States the next day after enjoying the night view of Vienna. The girl Selena went to Budapest to visit her elderly grandmother, but she suffered from airplane phobia since she was a child. Therefore, the journey all the way was completed by train. Now, she will take the train back to Paris. Just like that, two young people who had never lived before met unexpectedly on the train. During the lonely journey, the two began to chat, and unexpectedly found that they had endless topics to talk about. The train stopped in Vienna, and Jesse, who was reluctant to give up, suggested that the two get off the train together and go on a night tour in Vienna before leaving. Selena readily agreed. As a result, the streets and alleys of Vienna left footprints of two people swimming freely. In the full 14 hours before dawn, the two young people were filled with love, and they agreed to meet again in this unforgettable place half a year later
