Otagaki Yasuo enjoys a high reputation in the field of science fiction with his works "Moonlight Journey" and "Mobile Suit Gundam Thunder Space". He gathered top talents from Japan and abroad to create this exciting original sci-fi epic. In terms of mecha design, famous designers Masaharu Kawamori (representative works include the "Macros" series) and Kiyotaka Oshiyama (who participated in the design of the devil in "Devil Man") contributed their talents to the mecha design in the film.

The story takes place on the ice-covered planet Coldfoot, which is rich in a precious ore called "sig", which is an important source of energy.
