"Be There or Be Square" is a comedy film directed by Feng Xiaogang. The film tells the love story between two Beijingers living in the United States. Liu Yuan, a Beijing native, has immigrated to Los Angeles for many years, but he has never had a serious job. He struggles with eating, drinking and drinking every day, and the way of earning money is mostly related to Chinese people. On this day, he was in charge of receiving a film crew from China.
