Baek Hee-soo is a high-profile beauty best-selling author in Seoul. However, her professional and personal life took a hit when she was accused of plagiarism. After a two-year blank period, her good friend Cui editor suggested that she go to the mountain villa to continue writing. Baek Hee-soo decides to accept this suggestion and takes her daughter to an old private villa, hoping to restore the inspiration for writing.
However, this two-storey villa is very old and full of unusual atmosphere. There were always strange noises, and there were even suspicious signs of mildew on the ceiling of the study. What surprised Bai Xixiu even more was that her daughter Yanxi seemed to be befriending a mysterious girl. She often heard her daughter talking to herself, as if communicating with an invisible girl. All this made Bai Xixiu feel more and more uneasy.
Baek Hee-soo tries to uncover the secrets of the house, but her explorations make her even more frightened. Her new work "The Abyss" quickly became popular after it came out, and became a popular book on the bestseller lists. However, it was soon discovered that the new book was almost exactly the same as the one ten years ago, and Baek Hee-soo was once again involved in the plagiarism scandal.
Baek Xixiu doesn't believe that she will plagiarize other people's works, she thinks it all stems from that ancient and mysterious villa. So, she decided to go back to the villa again and uncover everything that had been covered up decades ago.
