大佛普拉斯是一部惊悚剧情片，影片的色调几乎都是黑白色调，各种声色犬马的剧情，加上灰暗的色调，让电影的惊悚感更加突出，所有的角色在影片中都是带着很多的面具，每一个角色都不想回到之前那么痛苦的生活，于是为了过上好生活忘了自己的初心，难以自拔
该影片讲述的是一个保安在看守雕塑大佛的旗舰，因为自己的家人生病而需要获得一笔钱财，于是在职业看守大佛期间认识了一个伙伴，两个人通过商量决定想要来将大佛偷出去而卖掉，获得一笔不义之财，两人以为行车记录仪上面的影像已经全部被删掉，然而这一切都被黄启文发现，保安为了收买黄启文，于是打算采取一些行动，即能够不让自己的名声扫地，又可以得到这笔不义之财。
