在1912年的时候，由邱心志饰演的孙中山当选了南京国民政府临时大总统，张秋歌饰演的袁世凯坐镇北平，迫使清王朝退伍，窃取胜利果实，成为了大总统，从此孙中山远赴东瀛，卸甲归田，由田亮饰演的宋教仁，组建国会，踌躇满志，竞选总统，仍然在推动共和的实施，最后却被袁党暗杀，孙中山在听到这个噩耗之后，赶回祖国掀起了二次革命，由聂政饰演的宋庆龄，出现在了孙中山的生命中，见证了孙中山为了祖国的未来往复奔波的戎马一生。
