故事发生在未来的契约四日美国国庆日，一搜外来飞船来到地球上空，用无线电干扰地球的正常卫星信号，同时还释放出了三十六艘飞船，分别奔向美国的各大城市，这也让人们感觉到了从未有过的恐惧，可也有人觉得应该礼貌欢迎一下外来的客人，总统让人试图和飞船上的人取得联系
