The Fongs is a family comedy from Blossom Films starring Jason Bateman Directed, starring Nicole Kidman, Jason Bateman, Christopher Walken and others. The film tells the story of a pair of children who were dragged to perform by their performance artist parents when they were young, and returned to their hometown after they grew up to help their parents complete the last performance. The protagonist of the story is the novelist Buster (Jason Bateman) ) and actress Annie (Nicole Kidman), they are a pair of siblings. After an accident, Buster was hospitalized due to health problems and was taken home by his father Caleb (Christopher Walken) and mother Camille (Marian Plunkett) to recuperate. The incident prompted Buster to call his sister, begging her to come home and visit him, however, his sister was reluctant but obliged.

Parents once forced them to participate in a series of controversial performance art performances, which made the two children psychologically shadowed. Now, after the parents are semi-retired, shortly after they met their two children, they went on a car trip and disappeared suddenly. Their car was later found with blood in it, making it difficult for Buster and Anne to determine if the parents were playing another prank or if they had really been killed. Buster quickly accepted the fact that his parents might have had an accident, but Anne insisted that the parents had staged the accident themselves.

The movie shows the conflict and love between family members in a humorous way . In the process of finding their parents, Buster and Annie gradually discovered the secrets and emotional obstacles in their hearts.
