《风之画员》是一部有年代感的剧情片。这部电视剧主要讲述了一个名为申润福的女性慢慢揭开自己父母被杀害真相的故事。申润福生活在朝鲜时代，从小父母就双双离开了人间，自己也迫不得已被送去了一户人家。好在童年时期还算无忧无虑，长大以后成为了一名画工
在进入图画署工作的过程当中，申润福一直女扮男装，而后被发现身份之后丢掉了这份工作，同时也失去了养父母的关照。之后，她自己另谋出路，找到了一份与情报相关的秘密工作。在一次执行任务的过程当中，她发现了自己父母被杀害的秘密，真相令人瞠目结舌，一时间竟不知该如何处理这件事情。人性的丑恶慢慢的展露在她的眼前，是选择为父母报仇，还是继续苟且偷生？她面临艰难的抉择。
