"Fullmetal Alchemist" is a TV animation adapted from the manga of the same name by Japanese cartoonist Hiroshi Arakawa, produced by BONES. The animation was announced in July 2003 to produce an animated version, and it was broadcast on Daily Broadcasting and TBS TV series from October 4, 2003 to October 2, 2004, with a total of 51 episodes
In addition, the series also launched a theatrical animation "Fullmetal Alchemist: Conqueror of Shambhala" , released on July 23, 2005. The film was widely acclaimed after its release.
The TV animation and theatrical animation of this series have both won the honor of recommended works by the Animation Department of the Media Art Festival of the Japan Agency for Cultural Affairs. The eighth round in 2004 and the ninth round in 2005 were selected.
