这部电影讲述的是在朝鲜饥荒的年代，朝鲜的国王相信只有通过联姻才能够解决这场大旱，于是决定了开始大规模的选拔驸马，不是朝鲜最厉害的几名年轻政治家纷纷参与了选拔，而公主对于自己凶悍的生辰八字非常的害怕，已经让她错失了许多的姻缘，于是决定挨个试探这些选拔出来的驸马，故事也是从此展开。
