The Cape is an adventure film directed by Ken Anakin, starring John Mills and Dorothy McGill. This movie tells the story of a Swiss family of five whose sailing boat hit a rock at sea, unfortunately came to a deserted island, and built a beautiful home there.

The story begins with a Swiss family traveling on a sailing boat, but unexpectedly runs aground. They had to temporarily shelter on a nearby small island and embarked on an unknown adventure. Facing the desolate environment, the family did not sit back and face the challenge bravely. They made full use of the island's natural resources, built their own living quarters, and learned a self-sufficient way of life. Not long after, the pirates discovered this deserted island and came with malice and greed. In the face of menacing pirates, this family showed a tenacious will to survive and wisdom. They cleverly set up many traps, which beat the pirates into a panic and they were at a loss as to what to do. They have defended this beautiful homeland with courage and unity, showing family cohesion and tenacity.
