有了这个再造金丹，这位老中医医好了很多的疑难杂症，给了很多患者希望。随着老中医的岁数越来越大了，面对继承人的问题，这位老中医也是十分忧愁，因为这位老中医只有两个女儿，并没有儿子。后来老中医想了一个办法，让自己的女儿嫁给了自己的养子，虽然杨紫与自己也没有任何的血缘关系，但是和自己的女儿结婚之后，生下来的孩子就是自己的血脉，这样自己就可以将秘方传承下去。但是两个人结婚之后一直没有孩子，直到有一天老中医意外收养了一个弃婴，从此金家再也没有安静的日子。
