Fukaya Yoshisuke (played by Guan Hiroshi) is a teacher who has been working for many years, but he has chosen a brand new path, which is to become a "protection division". He decides to start his own life anew, to find opportunities to do what he failed to do as a teacher by working as a protection officer to reach out to those temporarily released from prison. In this new role, Zensuke meets an unusual "subject" whom he has never seen before - Yuko Koyama (played by Ruriko Asaoka). She goes to prison for killing her own child, and Zensuke is assigned to be her protector.

Kieko will be released from prison after serving her sentence, and Shanfu needs to welcome her back to society. However, when Yuko was released from prison, she behaved unexpectedly, forcing Zensuke to rethink how to face and take care of her.
