Li Shanxiong is a prosecutor. Official Che Mingzhu used to work in the Central District Procuratorate, but she was transferred to work in a small branch office that was neglected because of investigating her high-ranking father-in-law. Everyone thought that Che Mingzhu would be angry because of the sudden change in salary. When she resigned to become a lawyer, she reunited with Li Shanxiong, a university senior in the branch office.
