However, Nie Baoyan's career has not been smooth sailing. The interaction and emotional disputes between her and detective Zeng Jiayuan add a lot to the plot. Zeng Jiayuan was a responsible, dedicated and honest police detective, but his love-hate entanglement with Nie Baoyan put him in a dilemma. In the process of solving the case, they cooperated together, but often caused friction due to contradictions. Under the tense environment of disparity between life and death, they gradually discovered the warmth and tenacity hidden in each other, and the collision of these emotions made the whole plot more rich and moving.

In addition to suspense and emotional lines, the play also involves family disputes between Nie Baoyan's sister Yi (played by Chen Meiqi) and her daughter Jinjin (played by Zhong Liqi). The relationship between the sisters is intricate, and the bad relationship between Jinjin and his mother Yi is even more eye-catching. The depiction of these family emotions makes the plot closer to reality and allows the audience to have a deeper understanding of the humanity and fragility of the characters.
