整篇剧情讲述了警员和警犬的故事，警员梁粤和何木棉因为警犬借调被临时安排在了风琴岛，在岛上和警犬一起服役，彼此共同的成长，最后也成为了岛上居民所依靠最为信任的战士，还有警犬也被岛上的居民称为岛上奇兵
警犬华少来到了风琴岛，调皮的他在岛上闯了很多祸，所以受到了留岛的处分，而刚毕业不久的训犬员梁粤，他知道华少的优秀天赋和素质，于是就进入岛上和军犬一起训练，在不懈努力下也改掉了军犬的毛病，并且在岛上的社区协调和治安防范方面都起到了很大的作用，对于岛上的各类案件也大显身手，成为了社区的头号人物，在一次行动当中，梁月因为吸毒者的针头扎伤，而警犬对他不离不弃，警犬在受伤的过程中也因为嗅觉丢失，梁月对于这件事情非常上心，所以在最后也恢复了嗅觉，最后一人一狗一起回归警队。
