"Still Life of Memory" is a film directed by Japanese director Hitoshi Yazaki, starring Masanobu Ando. Inspired by the true story between French photographer Henry McKeroney and his mistress, Hitoshi Yazaki made a theatrical work on the theme of the beauty and sacredness of the female body. The film tells the story of Rei (played by Masanobu Ando), who works as a curator at the Yamanashi Prefecture Museum of Photography. He accidentally discovered the work of the up-and-coming photographer Haruma in a photography gallery in Tokyo, and was deeply attracted. The next day, Lian contacted Haruma and asked him to take a picture of himself as the subject. Although Haruma was puzzled by the sudden request, he still started to take pictures for Lian, and the two gradually developed feelings for each other through filming. At the same time, the pregnant Chunma's girlfriend Xia Sheng learned of Lian's existence
The film uses photography as a clue to explore the themes of beauty and love. The director demonstrated the beauty and divinity of the female body through the expression of photography art. As a curator of a photography museum, Lian's pursuit of art and beauty made him attracted by Chun Ma's photographic works, and then asked him to be the subject of the photograph. This unexpected encounter became the beginning of their love, and Lian and Chunma gradually became attracted to each other through the process of filming.
However, the development of the story is not all smooth sailing. Chun Ma's girlfriend Xia Sheng learned of Lian's existence, which made the relationship between the three complicated and confusing. Uneasy and jealous of Chunma and Lian's feelings, Xia Sheng began to question her place and value in Chunma's life. At the same time, Lian also fell into thinking and struggling about the relationship between Chunma and Xiasheng.
