主人公凯特是一名职业杀手，一次任务中，他当着目标女儿的面杀掉了目标。这次的狙杀让凯特心里产生了强大的动摇。在凯特离开这行之前，接受了最后一个任务。最后一次任务中，在抠动扳机时，凯特发现自己中毒了，导致没能狙杀掉目标。中毒的他只有24小时的生命，为了找到解药，凯特开始寻觅对自己下毒的人。找到之后发现这个人正是自己之前任务目标的弟弟。经过一系列调查，他发现这个人也是受人指使，为了找寻事情的真相，凯特再次踏上了新的路途，最终还是没有能够躲过被毒死的命运。
