As a young man, Lamy lives in an era of information explosion. He is surrounded by various trends of thought and concepts, which makes him doubt about traditional religious beliefs. He begins to think about the true meaning of life and whether there is an afterlife. In the process, Lamy went through a period of personal transformation and exploration, as he began to re-evaluate his beliefs and his religious environment.

However, Ramy's family and community did not understand his inner struggle. They expected him to continue the family tradition of faith, spiritual ascension and awe of the sacred. But Lamy felt oppressed and restrained, and he longed to think and explore freely. This internal and external contradiction makes Lamy feel confused and lonely.

To escape this dilemma, Rami turns his attention to worldly things. He cooperates with his uncle in running the diamond business, pursuing material success and monetary satisfaction.
