这是一部以消防员日常生活为题材的故事，讲述了唐明身为消防队的队长严己律人，是一个让人敬佩且非常严肃的人，每天冷着一张脸，也让人倍感压力，甚至觉得可能这样的人都不会有老婆，即便是有也要被吓跑了，可实际上却并非如此，在工作上严格要求不行于色，实际上却对老婆温柔体贴，说是照顾婴儿都丝毫不为过。纪德田是一个消防员，因为执行任务的时候妻子发生意外去世了，从此之后他就失去了生活的兴趣，每天日子浑浑噩噩，唐明对他的要求和批评也最多，他一直记恨唐明，认为他是故意针对自己。直到后来在一次救火的时候纪德田险些葬身火海之中，而唐明不顾生命安危将他从火海中救出来，纪德田也明白了生命的可贵，对于唐明感激不尽，也改变了生活的态度
