《怒海争锋》讲述了拿破仑统治了欧洲的故事背景下，在海战领域，只有英国海军可以与其抗衡。号称“幸运船长的”杰克奉命驾驶“惊奇”号与法国“地狱”号斗争，然而“地狱”将“惊奇”打得落花流水，杰克也从浓雾中逃脱。虽然在首次战斗中失利，但是杰克未被现实击败，决定迎难而上，后来杰克因为充足的准备，一路反击，然而斯蒂芬意外受伤，让杰克是选择在海岛上休整，这一次的行动，让杰克受到了很大的鼓舞，敌人在这时却突然现身，双方的斗争，在这一刻即将打响。
