The film tells a touching story of love and courage. The plot takes place in a small town, and the protagonist is Li Qiang (played by Feng Shaofeng), an ordinary middle school teacher. Li Qiang loves education and he is committed to helping students realize their dreams. However, in this small town, poverty and lack of educational resources have become obstacles for many children to pursue their dreams

The turning point of the story occurs when Li Qiang meets a poor student Xiaoying (played by Zhang Yishan). Xiaoying is a bright and talented girl, but because of her poor family, she cannot get the opportunity to receive a high-quality education. Li Qiang is determined to help Xiaoying. He pays her tuition with his own salary and borrows an abandoned classroom to open his "dream class".

In this class, Li Qiang not only teaches subject knowledge, but also teaches students to face challenges and difficulties bravely. He inspired the inner potential of the children and made them believe that they could change their destiny. However, Li Qiang's actions have aroused dissatisfaction and obstruction from others, including school leaders and some parents of students. They think Li Qiang's approach is impractical and will not help the students' future.

Despite the pressure and difficulties, Li Qiang insisted on his belief and continued to support Xiaoying and other students. Through a series of efforts, he has enabled the students to make great progress in their studies and life.
