The Chernobyl Diaries is a film directed by Bradley Parker, Jesse McCarthy Thriller starring Jonathan Sadowski and Olivia Taylor Dudley. Based on the background of the Chernobyl nuclear accident in 1986, the film tells the story of a group of young thrill-seekers who explore Pripyat under the leadership of a guide, but are attacked by mutant creatures.

This hiking group consists of six young travelers off the beaten path and scenic spots, only for the pursuit of the ultimate exciting enjoyment. To meet their unique needs, they hire a special guide who can lead them on an extraordinary journey. They chose to turn a deaf ear to the warnings from all parties, and the guide still led them to Pripyat in Ukraine, the ruins known as the "ghost city".

Pripyat was once home to Chernobyl nuclear power plant workers , but the advent of the nuclear accident turned it into ruins, filled with suffocating dust. At first, these six young people just planned to stop in this seemingly lifeless abandoned city for a short time to satisfy their curiosity. However, they soon found themselves seemingly trapped here, unable to get out of the current predicament. What frightened them even more was that they could feel other living beings approaching them quietly, with obvious malicious intent and purpose.
