《情人》是一部爱情片，在1992年的时候与法国上映，根据法国作家玛格丽特·杜拉斯自传小说改编而成，该影片主要讲述的就是法国少女和中国阔少之间所发生的凄凉动人的爱情故事。
故事发生在1929年的越南，当时的越南是法国殖民地，因此在越南土地上有许多的法国人，故事的主人公是一个17岁的法国少女简，寄宿学校读书，在一个偶然的条件下遇到了阔少爷东尼。
于是简便很主动的和东尼交谈，随着不断发展简和东尼很快坠入爱河，而东霓也就把简带回了他的公馆，在这里两个人经常幽会，洗澡，玩耍，而且也因为做了中国人的情人而逐渐被其他的同学给冷落，当东尼向父亲提出和简结婚的要求时，父亲一票否决，最终东尼还是和自己不喜欢的女人结婚，结婚之后心如死灰的东尼再去公馆时，凄凉之感涌上心头。
而简和母亲也坐上远去法国的渡轮，回想起和东尼的那一段刻苦铭心的爱情，就像电影的配乐一般稍纵即逝，当黄昏日落洒在水面，自此故事结束。
