"Sarabond" is an emotional film directed by Ingmar Bergman, starring Liv Ullmann and Erland Josephson, which was released in Sweden on December 1, 2003.

The film tells the story of the former couple Marianne and John meeting again after 30 years. They used to be deeply in love, but the passage of time separated them for 30 years. However, the feelings that had been buried in the bottom of my heart for many years were rekindled in this encounter. Marianne still has deep feelings for John, so she decides to visit this long-lost lover.

John has been living an isolated life, lonely and silent. However, when Marianne came into his life, he felt that he still needed her presence. After the two met, although the years have passed, the feelings between them are real and strong.

In this story, Marianne gets acquainted with Enrique, the son of John and his ex-wife, and Carinla, the 21-year-old granddaughter of Enrique. The three generations of them lived not far from John's house, but there seemed to be an indelible gap and complicated emotional entanglements between them. Carlina loves her father Enrique deeply, but John is dissatisfied with his son. There is deep love and hate between the three lonely people.

Through the superb director skills and the excellent performances of the actors, the film shows the complexity of human nature and the truth of emotion. Each character has its own inner world and contradictions, allowing the audience to feel a strong emotional resonance during the movie watching process.
