《三八线》是一部年代战争剧，这个电视剧主要讲述的是在战争年代，村里两个小伙子参与志愿军奔赴朝鲜保家卫国的故事，电视剧是在2016年的时候正式在云南都市频道播出
讲述的是在1950年，鸭绿江遭受美国轰炸机的轰炸之后，村子里的年轻人自愿参与朝鲜保家卫国，在朝鲜的赛场中展开殊死较量，经过几轮的战略调整，志愿军在战场中逐渐掌握主动权，最终以生命的代价获得了胜利，以及协议后的和平。
在这部电视剧内，村内的年轻青年之间的感情交织，才是整个电视剧内最大的亮点，采用亲情，友情和战友情三路出击的方式，指出人类心底最温柔的泪点，通过小人物的描写方式来描写宏观的历史，在镜头中千千万万的角色都是抗美援朝将士的代表，为所有为国奉献的志愿军将士致敬。
