"Survival Family" is a comedy film directed by Japanese director Fumiyasu Yaguchi in 2016. The film mainly stars Fumyo Kohinata, Eri Fukatsu, Yuki Izumizawa and Aoi Wakana

The film takes a family as the protagonists, and through absurd plots and humorous dialogues, it shows their survival and struggle in adversity. The story happened after a sudden electromagnetic wave incident caused all electric and electronic equipment all over the world to fail. Facing this new reality, the family must learn survival skills from the ground up and work to find a new way to live.

Fumyo Kohinata plays a kind but pedantic middle-aged father who is determined to protect his family after the incident . Fukatsu Eri played his wife, a gentle and virtuous housewife who tried her best to support her husband and face difficulties with him. Their son, played by Yuki Izumizawa, is an otaku who relies too much on electronic devices in real life and has to face new challenges and changes. The daughter played by Aoi Wakana is an independent college student who has shown a strong will and a smart mind in this world full of danger and uncertainty.

In the story, the family has experienced a series of ironic adventures and difficulties. They learn to grow vegetables, hunt and fish, and even try to build their own wind turbines to meet the family's energy needs. In the process, they not only gained food and material satisfaction, but also deepened their intimacy with each other.
