The story takes place in San Francisco, USA. Richard (Peter Sarsgaard) is a computer engineer obsessed with the Internet world . With the exception of his sleep, he spends almost all of his life in the virtual world, and he thinks being in virtual contact with people is enough. Although daily tasks such as shopping can be done through the computer, Richard gradually felt that something real was missing in his life. With millions in savings, he decided to seek a way of total relief.
So, in a club called "Pandora's Box" near his residence, he met the stripper Floren Si (Molly Parker). Although Florence is a drummer in a band, she makes a living by stripping. Richard invited Florence to spend a weekend with him in a five-star hotel in Las Vegas for three nights at a cost of ten thousand dollars. However, Florence came up with some strict conditions: no penetration, no kissing on the lips, working hours from 10pm to 2am, sleeping in separate rooms, etc.
In the next few days, the two negotiated these regulations continuously, sometimes quietly and sometimes fiercely. However, in this weekend's transaction, the two lonely people gradually felt their true emotions.
